The Porsche 918 Spyder and McLaren P1 are considered the first truly successful hybrid supercars of the modern world. Though Porsche had engineered successful sedan hybrids for a few years, it was in 2013 the Spyder was ready for the road and the track. The McLaren P1 was released the same year. These two hybrid supercars were yards ahead of the competition and hold a place in the history of the EV r-evolution.
