Volvo is known for luxury and innovation, and their recent EVs have been no exception. Therefore, when the affordable Volvo EX30 hits the market in 2025, it just may be the average American’s dream come true. At a time when quality $35,000 EVs are scarce, Volvo plans to offer an option that is both affordable and pleasing.
Volvo EX30 Stats
The Volvo EX30 may be affordable and compact, but it still packs a punch. Available in two powertrain options, this SUV EV is capable of going 0-60mph in as little as 3.4 seconds, due to its 400lb ft of torque. Combine that with all-wheel drive and you’ve got a less expensive SUV that can compete with the big boys.
The EX30 comes with a 64kWh battery, which translates to about 275 miles of range. According to Volvo, it takes about 27 minutes to charge to 80% on a DC fast charger. And if safety is your concern, you can expect the EX30 to include the latest safety options from Volvo.
EX30 Cross Country
Volvo plans to produce the EX30 Cross Country version within a couple years. This hardy version will largely resemble its predecessors. However, it will have rugged elements, including black panels on the front and rear, and include higher ground clearance.
