Update 10/18/2022: The Rolls Royce Spectre Coupe Debuts – Top Gear reviews it on YouTube. Click here to view their video of the interior and exterior, as well as specs.
In 2021 Rolls Royce announced their plan to go all electric by 2030. In keeping with that goal they continued working to produce their first EV – the Rolls Royce Spectre. Not much is known about this 2 door coupe, but with extensive road testing going on many sightings have occurred. Rolls Royce also released a short video showing the new EV in action.
An interview with Rolls Royce CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos reveals, “By 2030 the entire motor-range of Rolls-Royce motorcars will be fully electric. And the first car will go into the market end of 2023… and that is Spectre. I foresee that Spectre will take quite a substantial part of our business for the next ongoing years and then obviously as we transform slowly, every car that goes into the market in the future will be fully electric.”
Muller-Otvos also reveals that Rolls Royce orders are currently a year out, so if you’d like to order Rolls Royce’s first electric car, now might be a good time. Meanwhile, here’s our recommended information on this new luxury EV!
