Elon Musk took the stage last night to introduce the Model 3 to the world and orders came rushing in. How many orders? Well over 100,000 reservations have been made. It was announced that deliveries will start in the fall of 2017.
The Features
What are some of the standard features? The new Model 3 will go from 0-60 in less than 6 seconds and the battery will last 215 miles. “These are minimum numbers, we hope to exceed them”, said Musk.
The vehicle comes in several colors; including dark grey, silver and red. The standard Tesla glass roof has carried on with the Model 3, as well as the unmatched safety precautions, it has earned a five star safety rating in every category.
The Cost
Tesla has established a starting price of $35,000, before incentives. Upgrade options are available.
